ROSEWOOD MIRAMAR BEACH

Some weddings are a day. Brielle and Garrett's, in early spring 2025 at Rosewood Miramar Beach in
Montecito, was a whole weekend imagined room by room. It's the wedding I point to when a couple asks what a full weekend at the Miramar can look like when every event gets its own design.

The Miramar is a newer property with a feeling all its own, white buildings and columns wrapped in
greenery, East Coast manners in Montecito light. It suits a couple who think in experiences. There was a
bridal lunch for Brielle's closest friends and her parents, a rehearsal dinner in The Study with the space
bought out entirely, and then a welcome party unlike any I've photographed, a custom speakeasy with green velvet everywhere, moving between indoors and out.

The Miramar, and a weekend built room by room

The wedding day began with a ceremony on one of the intimate lawns, then a reception on a full buyout of
the Great Lawn, designed and built custom by Shannon Leahy Events down to the linens, the lamp
structures, the table lamps, the bar and the pillows. It read like a beautifully lit restaurant that had always been there. Dinner ran through sunset, and the light on that lawn in the last hour is the reason I'd always ask for an outdoor dinner here.

Brielle's gown has a story of its own. The designer, Yellow by Sahar, made it custom for her and is now naming the style after her.

Can you do the whole weekend there?
Yes, and it's the best way to use the property. Rehearsal dinner in The Study, a welcome party in one of
the indoor-outdoor spaces, the wedding on the lawns, brunch by the water. Brielle and Garrett did all of it
without anyone getting in a car.

Is the Great Lawn worth a full buyout?
If your guest list is large enough to fill it, yes. It's the space with the ocean behind it, and a buyout means
your planner can build the whole room from scratch instead of working around a standard setup.

What's the light like?
Soft. The Miramar sits right at the beach with the mountains behind, so afternoons are bright without being harsh, and dinner on the lawn runs straight into a long, warm sunset.

The welcome-party space was transformed overnight into Mexico, with custom lighting, Brielle in a green after-party dress, and a sign renaming the room after the couple's new shared name, Cabo-style. The
dancing went late. The whole weekend was that kind of wedding, designed, never decorated. It was
